Madrid-Barajas Airport

Situated at only twelve kilometres from Madrid city, Madrid Barajas airport is linked to the Madrid bypass road, which connects to the main roads leading to all directions. M40 and M40 South, M11, A1, A2 and R2.

In order to have a fast and smooth ride to Madrid-Barajas Airport, we recommend to take the M-40 bypass, direction A-1 or direction A-6, depending on the point of departure, the itinerary and the access road from where you come to Madrid (North, South, etc.).
In the following information box you will find the best itinerary and the most common access roads. At a later point, you can elaborate your individual itinerary.

Description of the access roads indications:

A-2: Madrid-Barcelona motorway.

A-1: Madrid-Burgos motorway.

M-40: Madrid bypass road.

M-11: Airport access motorway. It connects to the M-40 (exit 2B) in the North of Madrid, to the M-12 and to the M-14.

M-12 (North-South Axis): Toll motorway providing direct access to the T4. It runs from the M-40 South, at Parque Juan Carlos I, to the M-110 road, towards Alcobendas. It is connected to the M-11, M-13 and the R-2 toll motorway.

M-13 (East-West Axis): Motorway linking the M-14 and the M-12. The link with the M-111 road, Barajas-Paracuellos, is made from a roundabout from which it is also possible to connect with the internal road of the Urbanización Sur de la T4.

M-14 (Troncal): Motorway that allows direct access to terminals T1, T2 and T3 from the M-40 and A2, as well as to terminal T4 via its connection with the M-13..

R-2: Toll motorway between Guadalajara and the M-40.

How to arrive to the terminals T1 T2 T3: general indications

From the M-40:

Take exit 9A towards M-14 / Airport.

Continue along the M-14. Access each terminal via its corresponding exit.
Arrival at terminals T1, T2 or T3.

From the A-2: Direction Madrid and Zaragoza

Take the exit to Zaragoza, take exit 10 to the M-14 / Airport.
To Madrid, take exit 12 towards the M-14 / Airport.
Continue along the M-14. Access each terminal via its corresponding exit.
Arrival at terminals T1, T2 or T3.

From the M-11: Madrid and M-40 North (exit 2B)

Take the exit. Continue in direction to the airport until you get to the end of the M-11 / terminals T1, T2, T3 and T4.
Continue along the M-14. Access each terminal via its corresponding exit.
Arrival at terminals T1, T2 or T3.

From the A-1: Direction to Madrid and Burgos

Take exit 17, direction Airport / M-12 Barajas.
Once you get to the roundabout, take the exit to your left towards Airport / M-12 Barajas.
Continue along the M-12 towards Airport / M-13 Barajas.
Take exit 3, direction Airport / M-13 all directions.
Continue along the M-13 and cross the tunnel in direction to the M-14 / terminals T1, T2 and T3.
Take the first exit after the tunnel, direction T1, T2 and T3. Access each terminal via its corresponding exit.
Arrival at terminals T3, T2 and T1.

You've arrived, now it's time to look for a parking space. Book your parking space now and park as soon as you arrive.

How to get to terminal T4: general Indications

From the M-40 South:

Take exit 9A towards M-14 / Airport.
Continue along the M-14 towards M-13 / T4, leaving the exits to terminals T1, T2, T3 on the right.
Enter the tunnel which links to the M-13.
Continue along the M-13. Take exit 0A. At this point the road splits, you can choose to go to the parking or to T4 Departures.
Arrival at terminal T4.

From the A-2: Madrid and Zaragoza directions

Take the exit towards Zaragoza. Take exit 10 to the M-14 / Airport.
Direction Madrid, take exit 12 towards M-14 / Airport.
Continue along the M-14 towards M-13 / T4, leaving the exits to terminals T1, T2 and T3 on the right.
Enter the tunnel which links to the M-13.
Take the exit Continue along the M-13. Take exit 0A. At this point the road splits, you can choose to go to the parking or to T4 Departures.
Arrival at terminal T4.

From the M-11: Madrid and M-40 North (exit 2B)

OPTION A
Take exit 9, direction Barajas/Avda. de Logroño.
You will arrive at a roundabout. Take the exit to your left, direction M-111 / Paracuellos del Jarama.
Continue along Avda. de Logroño.
You will get to another roundabout. Follow the M-111 / Paracuellos del Jarama.
Please continue along this connecting route until you get to the next roundabout.
Take the exit to your left, direction M-13/T4.
Continue along the M-13. Take exit 0A. At this point the road splits, you can choose to go to the Parking Area or T4 Departures.
Arrival at terminal T4.

From the M-11: Madrid and M-40 North (exit 2B)

OPTION B
Continue until you get to the end of the M-11, direction terminals T1, T2, T3, T4.
Please continue along the M-14, direction M-13 / T4, leaving the T1, T2, T3 terminal exits to your right.
Enter into the tunnel, where you connect to the M-13.
Continue along the M-13. Take exit 0A. At this point the road splits, you can choose to go to the Parking Area or T4 Departures.
Arrival at terminal T4.

From the A-1: Directions to Madrid and Burgos

Take exit 17 to the Airport / M-12 Barajas.
Once you get to the roundabout, take the exit to your left towards Airport / M-12 Barajas.
Continue along the M-12 towards Airport / M-13 Barajas.
Take exit 3 towards Airport / M-13 all directions.
Continue along the M-13. Take exit 0 to make a U-turn.
Take the exit to your left, direction M-13/T4.
Please continue along this connecting route until you get to the next roundabout.
Take the exit to your left leading to the M-13/T4.
Continue along the M-13. Take exit 0A. At this point the road splits, you can choose to go to the Parking Area or T4 Departures.
Arrival at terminal T4.

From the M-40 South:

Take exit 8, direction M-12 / T4.
Enter the M-12 through the tunnel.
*1.80 € toll fee.
Continue along the M-12.
Arrival at terminal T4.

From the A-2: Directions Madrid and Zaragoza

Take the exit direction Zaragoza, take exit 10 to the M-14 / Airport.
To Madrid, take exit 12 towards the M-14 / Airport.
Continue along this stretch, which connects to the M-40 North / M-12 T4.
Take exit 10, connecting with the M-40, direction A1 / M-12 T4.
Continue along the M-40, right hand lane, direction M-12 T4.
Take exit 8, in order to access the M-12.
Enter the M-12 through the tunnel.
*1,80 € toll fee.
Continue along the M-12.
Arrival at terminal T4

From the M-11: Madrid and M-40 North (exit 2B)

Take exit 7, direction M-12 / T4.
Continue along the M-12.
*1,80 € toll fee.

From the A-1: Directions Madrid and Burgos

Take exit 17, direction Airport / M-12 Barajas.

From the R-2 (M-50): To Madrid

Take exit 3, direction R-2 / Airport.
*0,95 € toll fee (peak-time) or 0,45 € toll fee (off-peak-time).
Continue along the R-2, direction M-12 / Airport.
Take exit 5 direction M-12 / Airport.
*1,80 € toll fee.
Continue along the M-12 and take the exit Airport Terminal T4.
Arrival at terminal T4.
